Dear Readers,
What a day, what a month…what a year! Do you ever feel like you’re living one day at a time because that’s all you can cope with? It’s certainly the way I feel, and have felt, for this month. One day, give it your all, no regrets; take it for what it is.
Written down in reflection it seems like an easy principle to live by but it’s a choice that needs to be made daily, no, not just daily, hourly. Every day I have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life, but I have to be ready for it. I have to be looking for the opportunity and be willing to step in and step up to it.
There is no doubt in my mind that we are all strategically where God wants us. Sometimes it’s for us to grow and sometimes it’s for us to bless others. At the moment I find I am doing both. I am growing and having the chance to speak into people’s lives. It’s heart-warming and challenging all in the same moment. And yet, through it all I know God is by my side. He is ever present with me in every moment I face.
Why am I sharing this with you? Well, it’s simply this. You make a difference. Whether you realise it now or not, whether you discover why or not, you have a purpose and it’s wonderful. Work for the purpose of glorifying God. There is no greater commission.
The Bible says in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
So let’s challenge each other to go into our spheres of influences to shine God’s love and comfort into those environments. You make a difference, so lift your head and walk in confidence. God has always got your back. I’m not sure how knowing that makes you feel but I know I am already keen to be a godly influence to my spheres of friends and family.
Have a really blessed September!
